The highway lies open as inertia sets in
With the dreamer still stalling the journey begins
The work becomes worthless - momentum is lost
The road is endured at too high a cost

For now while the music flows through him
He knows how it feels to be alive
So he climbs on his pedestal and waits for that limo to arrive

But no-one will ever deliver that ride
While his time on this spiritual divide
Comes off half hearted in real life

The journey is ending as the packing begins
The baggage he's handling is wearing me thin
When the aims become selfish the magic is lost
His power to release came at too high a cost

But don't let him tell you he’s suffering
He don't know the meaning of the word
The trials he invents for himself are the dumbest ever heard

And no-one will ever believe that it's right
For the fruits of his spiritual delight
To wind up discarded or held tight

While his self-centred cynical insides
